Kikuyu Rye is a warm-season grass that is hardy, self-repairing and drought tolerant. It has a soft, bright green leaf and when mowed regularly makes a beautiful lawn that requires minimal lawn care to remain healthy.

As there are 2 layers to this grass (Kikuyu and ryegrass) the specifications are different for each.

Once installed, Kikuyu Rye turf will need to be kept watered sufficiently enough so that it does not dry out during winter. This can range from daily waterings in dry winter conditions through too much less when it is raining.

Once established (early to mid-spring), Kikuyu Rye will mature into an incredible drought-tolerant lawn. In extreme circumstances, Kikuyu Rye can survive long periods without water.
